WeLab Bank ”2nd Anniversary Lucky Draw” Campaign Terms and Conditions
[1] The 2nd Anniversary Lucky Draw Campaign (“the Campaign”) is launched by WeLab Bank Limited (“WeLab Bank”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Unless otherwise stated, the Campaign runs from 24 June 2022 to 31 July 2022 (Hong Kong Time) (both dates inclusive) (“Campaign Period”).
[2] By participating in this Campaign, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Campaign terms and conditions.
[3] The Campaign is only applicable to a customer of WeLab Bank with a valid WeLab Bank account (as determined by us at our sole discretion) and fulfil the conditions set out in Clause 4 within the Campaign Period.
[4] Customers who complete any of the missions set out below within Campaign Period will automatically participate in the lucky draw:
[5] The cut-off time to participate the lucky draw will be at 11:59 pm on 31 Jul 2022 (Hong Kong Time) and the lucky draw result will be announced in WeLab Bank 2nd Anniversary Lucky Draw website on or before 31 August 2022 (Hong Kong Time).
Mission 1: WeLab Debit Card Spending
[6] All transaction time will be based on Hong Kong Time (HKT) unless otherwise specified.
[7] Eligible Transaction is defined as transactions conducted using your WeLab Debit Card (including (i) your virtual and physical WeLab Debit Card and (ii) your WeLab Debit Card which have been added in your mobile wallet within the Campaign Period in any currency (“Eligible Transaction”). We also depend on the merchant category code/transaction type as defined between the merchants and MasterCard Asia/Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited for Eligible Transactions.
[8] Our decision as to what constitutes an ineligible or Eligible Transaction (as the case may be) shall be final and conclusive. Ineligible transactions, shall include but are not limited to the below: (a) payment of banking fees and charges (including but not limited to annual fee, overdrawn fee, card replacement fee, ATM cash withdrawal fee, if applicable); (b) quasi-cash transactions including: (i) betting and gambling transactions; (ii) instalment payments; (iii) balance transfers; (iv) cash, token, vouchers payment and/or foreign exchange transactions at non-financial institutions (including cash coupon purchases, purchase of foreign currency, money orders and travellers’ cheques); and/or (v) any transactions at other financial institutions (including purchase of merchandise and services from banks); (c) bank transfers (by way of Faster Payment System, SWIFT, eDDA, etc.); (d) bill payments (including but not limited to water bills, electricity bills, insurance premiums, payments to other banks and credit cards, etc.); (e) tax payments to the Inland Revenue Department; (f) purchase and/or reload of stored value cards or e-wallets; and/or (g) unposted, cancelled and/or refunded transactions, in whole or in part. We may add to, or remove from, the list of ineligible transactions from time to time at our sole discretion.
Mission 2: Set up Auto Reload Instruction
[9] Auto Reload Instruction refers to Electronic Direct Debit Authorization Service through FPS set up in WeLab Mobile App which links accounts from other banks and withdraws payments directly from other banks to WeLab Bank account (“Auto Reload Instruction”).
[10] You must set up and maintain the Auto Reload Instruction throughout Campaign Period to enjoy lucky draw entries. If you have set up the Auto Reload Instruction before the Campaign Period, you must maintain the setting throughout the Campaign Period.
[11] If you cancel the Auto Reload Instruction setting during the Campaign Period, you will not be eligible for lucky draw entries that earn from this mission.
Spending Rebate Generic Terms and Conditions
[12] WeLab Bank will use computer to randomly draw 20 winners (”Winners”) from the participants. A notification email/ SMS will be sent to the respective Winner via his/her latest email address registered with us or mobile phone number linked with WeLab Bank account.
[13] Each Winner fulfilling the conditions below is entitled to the Spending Rebate:
a) is a current WeLab Bank customer who holds a valid and active WeLab Bank account which is in normal status (as determined by us at our sole discretion);
b) has not terminated and/or closed his/her WeLab Bank account in the twelve (12) months prior to the commencement of this Campaign; and
c) is not an existing employee of WeLab Bank Limited.
WeLab Bank reserves the sole and absolute right to interpret and determine the definition of “Existing Employees of WeLab Bank Limited”.
[14] During the period from 31 August 2022 to 31 October 2022 (Hong Kong Time) (both dates inclusive) (“Eligible Redemption Period”), each Winner who has received the notification email/SMS is entitled to 100% Spending Rebate for all Eligible Transactions made with his/her WeLab Debit Card within the Eligible Redemption Period (“Spending Rebate”). If the Eligible Transaction is made in a currency other than Hong Kong Dollars, the Spending Rebate will be calculated based on Hong Kong Dollars after conversion at the applicable exchange rate. In all circumstances, the total Spending Rebate amount each Winner can earn from this Campaign is capped at HK$1,000.
[15] After the end of Eligible Redemption Period, the equivalent Spending Rebate amount earned by a Winner will be credited to his/her core account on or before 30 November 2022.
[16] If Winner has subsequently cancelled or reversed any Eligible Transactions (in full or partial amount) in respect of which cash rebate amount has been credited to his/her Core Account, we reserve the right to debit (i) the respective cash rebate amount and (ii) any cash rebate difference directly from his/her Core Account without prior notice.
[17] The Spending Rebate amount will be rounded to the nearest cent.
[18] You agree and acknowledge that you are not entitled to receive any cash rebate amount if you close your Core Account at any time before the cash rebate amount is credited to your Core Account in the applicable calendar month.
[19] You agree and acknowledge that you cannot terminate and/or close your WeLab Bank account in the twelve (12) months after the end of the Campaign Period. Otherwise, we shall not credit the Spending Rebate amount or where the Spending Rebate amount has been credited, we reserve the right to debit the Spending Rebate from your Account (including but not limited to your Core Account) without notice and/or take such necessary legal action to recover any outstanding amounts.
[20] All Spending Rebate amount cannot be transferred, returned, exchanged, or converted into other form, unless otherwise specified by WeLab Bank.
[21] The Spending Rebate can be used in conjunction with WeLab Bank’s other rebate offer(s).
[22] WeLab Bank shall not be liable for a Winner’s failure or inability to be entitled to the Spending Rebate whether due to a Winner not receiving communications or otherwise.

[24] WeLab Bank reserves the right to vary, modify and terminate this Campaign (including but not limited to the Campaign Period and the Spending Rebate) and to amend any of these Campaign terms and conditions at any time without any notice. In case of disputes in relation to this Campaign, WeLab Bank’s decision shall be final and binding.
[25] Any breach of applicable laws or regulations, fraud, abuse and/or non-compliance by you (as determined at our sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of your eligibility to participate in this Campaign and entitle to the Spending Rebate and/or suspension or termination of all or any of your Account with us. We shall not credit the Spending Rebate amount or where the Spending Rebate amount has been credited, we reserve the right to debit the Spending Rebate from your Account (including but not limited to your Core Account) without notice and/or take such necessary legal action to recover any outstanding amounts.
[26] These Campaign terms and conditions shall be read in connection with our Account Terms (the “Account Terms”). In the event of inconsistency between these Campaign terms and conditions and the Account Terms, the prevailing order shall be as follows:
(i) these Campaign terms and conditions; and
(ii) the Account Terms.
[27] If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
