WeLab Bank Bakery Cash Rebate Offer Terms and Conditions

  1. WeLab Bank Bakery Cash Rebate Offer (“Offer”) period shall commence from 4 May 2021 to 30 June 2021 (both dates inclusive) (the “Offer Period”).
  2. The Offer is applicable to existing customers (“you” or “your”) of Welab Bank Limited (“WeLab Bank”, “we”, “us” or “our”) who holds a valid bank account with us within the Offer Period. Your WeLab Debit Card will be automatically enrolled to the Offer.
  3. During the Offer Period, your Eligible Transactions (as defined in Clause 5 below) with a minimum spending of HKD 20 will be entitled to a fixed HKD 10 cash rebate per transaction subject to a cap amount of HKD 250 per each calendar month.
  4. The maximum cash rebate amount you shall be entitled to under this Offer within the Offer Period is HKD 500.
  5. Eligible transaction is defined as transactions conducted using your WeLab Debit Card at any merchants with merchant codes defined as bakery by the card association from time to time (the “Bakery Merchants”) within the Offer Period in any currency (“Eligible Transaction”). For the full list of the Bakery Merchants, please visit our website (https://www.welab.bank/en/feature/bakeryoffer-2021) for reference. For the avoidance of doubt, this Offer is launched by WeLab Bank independently and there is no partnership, sponsorship, affiliation or any other arrangement between WeLab Bank and any of the Bakery Merchants.
  6. If the Eligible Transaction is made in a currency other than Hong Kong Dollars, the cash rebate will be calculated based on Hong Kong Dollars after conversion at the applicable exchange rate.
  7. You are required to settle payment with physical or virtual WeLab Debit Card to be entitled to the Offer. The Bakery Merchants shall have the sole and absolute discretion to accept or reject WeLab Debit Card to settle payment.
  8. The equivalent cash rebate amount for each calendar month will be credited into your Core Account within 10 working days from the 1st day of the next calendar month.
  9. You have to keep the original sales receipt or official payment record of your Eligible Transactions. In case of dispute, we may at any time ask you to submit the receipt, record, and/or further evidence for inspection and we may keep them.
  10. You agree and acknowledge that you are not entitled to receive any cash rebate if you close your Core Account at any time before the cash rebate amount is credited to your Core Account in the applicable calendar month.
  11. If any Eligible Transaction where the cash rebate was awarded is subsequently reversed or cancelled (in full or in part), we may forfeit or deduct the respective cash rebate (as the case may be) from your Core Account without prior notice.
  12. You agree and acknowledge that we are not the supplier of the products/services supplied by the Bakery Merchants in connection with this Offer. We shall bear no liability relating to any aspect of the products/services of the Bakery Merchants, including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the descriptions of goods and/or services provided by the Bakery Merchants, any false trade description, misrepresentation, misstatement, omission, unauthorized representation, unfair trade practices or conduct in connection with the products and/or services by the Bakery Merchants, their employees, officers or agents.
  13. This Offer can be used in conjunction with our Spring Seasonal Offer 2021.This means for each Eligible Transaction with a minimum spending of HKD $20, subject to the terms and conditions of this Offer and the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021, you will be entitled to a HKD 10 cash rebate under this Offer and a cash rebate of 5% or 1% of your spending amount (as the case may be) under the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021.

For example:

-If you shop at a Bakery Merchant and spend HKD 30 on a Sunday in May 2021, subject to the terms and conditions of this Offer and the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021, you will be entitled to a HKD 10 cash rebate under this Offer and a cash rebate of 5% of your spending under the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021.

-If you shop at a Bakery Merchant and spend HKD 10 on a Wednesday in May 2021, you are not entitled to the cash rebate under this Offer, but, subject to the terms and conditions of the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021, you will be entitled to a cash rebate of 1% of your spending under the Spring Season Offer 2021.

However, in any circumstances, in each calendar month you shall only be entitled to a maximum of HKD 500 cash rebate amount in total from this Offer and the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021.

14. You cannot exchange the cash rebate under this Offer for cash, other products, services or discounts or transfer this Offer.

15. Any breach of applicable laws or regulations, fraud, abuse and/or non-compliance by you (as determined at our sole discretion) will result in forfeiture of your eligibility to participate in this Offer and/or suspension or termination of all or any of your Account(s) with us. We shall not credit the cash rebate amount to you or where the cash rebate amount has been credited, we reserve the right to debit the amount(s) from your Account(s) (including but not limited to your Core Account) without notice and/or take such necessary legal action to recover any outstanding amounts.

16. These terms and conditions of this Offer shall be read in connection with our Account Terms (the “Account Terms”). In the event of inconsistency between these terms and conditions of this Offer and the Account Terms, these terms and conditions of this Offer shall prevail. Also, these terms and conditions of this Offer is in addition to and supplement the terms and conditions of the Spring Seasonal Offer 2021.

17. Your eligibility to participate in this Offer is subject to our final approval at our absolute discretion.

18. In the event of inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.

19. We reserve the right to suspend, modify or terminate this Offer and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In case of disputes, the decision of WeLab Bank shall be final.
