What is a pending transaction?

When you make a transaction, there are two phases:
  1. Authorization - at the time you make the transaction, we will set the transaction amount aside in your available balance so you can't spend it
  2. Settlement - this is when the merchant comes to collect the money and the transaction details are finalized, which can take a few days
A transaction is "pending" in the time between its authorization and settlement. Once it has been settled, the transaction will no longer appear in your "pending transactions" list.
