Why has the WeLab Bank App stopped the facial recognition as a biometric authentication on Android/ Harmony OS devices?
To protect customer information from potential threats, the facial recognition technology as a biometric log on/ authentication in WeLab Bank will be suspended on Android/ Harmony OS version of bank’s mobile app as a security measure from 2nd March 2025. Customers are encouraged to use fingerprint as biometric log on/ authentication.
